Monday Morning PR Minute ⏱️Your weekly dose of PR inspiration | Read time: 1 minute | Hi Reader, A picture is worth a thousand words. So is one good human story. We’ve known this forever - it’s why the photo of a single child moves more people than a report on a humanitarian crisis, and why a customer’s two-sentence testimonial means more than a page of product specs. Facts inform - but stories stick. You probably have solid impact numbers. But data tells people what you did - a story makes them feel why it matters. When it comes to PR, the organizations and companies that consistently earn coverage and build loyal supporters, customers, and partners aren’t just armed with data - they have human stories ready to share. This Week’s Quick PR Tip: Build a Human-Centered Story LibraryI’m confident you have a treasure trove of human-centered stories you could share. You just may not have gotten around to collecting them yet. Pick three people - a donor, customer, beneficiary, or partner - and schedule 20-minute calls this month to talk with them about their experience with your organization. Ask what drew them in and what they’d want others to know. Record it with their permission and get it transcribed. Then drop the transcript into your AI bot of choice, ask it to summarize the conversation and pull story angles, key quotes, and pitch hooks, and save what it gives you. Now you’ll have a starting point for a media pitch, a blog post, a newsletter feature - ready when you need it. For another client, we were pitching a feel-good story, but they wanted us to...
