Monday Morning PR Minute ⏱️Your weekly dose of PR inspiration | Read time: 1 minute | Hi Reader, If your CEO has brought up AI search lately, that’s not just small talk. That’s an open door for the PR budget conversation. When someone Googles your organization, or asks ChatGPT about your mission area, what comes back isn’t just your website. It’s also media coverage, quotes, and third-party sources that determine who’s positioned as credible voices on your issue. AI tools pull from earned media to decide who shows up and who matters. This Week’s Quick PR Tip: Turn Leadership’s AI Awareness Into a PR Budget ConversationIf your CEO is paying attention to AI search - and more of them are - they may not realize that earned media is exactly what feeds it. Gartner predicts earned media budgets will double by 2027. Coverage in credible outlets signals to AI systems that your organization is a reliable source on your issue. When you’re ready to bring it up, try something like this: “I’ve been thinking about how we show up in AI search - and I think consistent PR coverage is one of the strongest moves we can make right now.” The organizations investing in earned media now are the ones AI search will surface later, showing up when their donors, customers, and partners go looking.
